A better working spine is good for your health, and chiropractic care can be helpful regardless of your age, size or condition. The everyday stress and strain of our busy lives mounts up over time and the residual affects then manifest in the form of chronic pain, discomfort, fatigue and dis-ease in the body. We’ve all experienced the usual mishaps of life—falling off a bike, too much rough-housing, sports injuries, automobile crashes, or even a work-related accident; however, with Chiropractic care more and more people are now experiencing the benefit of being sure everything is back in balance after life’s incidents and finding improved quality of life with a healthy back.
We tend to ignore our aches and pains and sometimes even cover them up with pain meds. You don’t have time to deal with it right now…life is fast paced; you need to keep working, care for the family, and fulfill obligations. The meds or hot shower took the edge off, and you put the problem in the back of your mind.
Then, the pain returns, a little more intense, but you can still deal with it, and it just takes a little longer to go away this time. You figure it must be stress or fatigue or even, “I’m just getting a little older.” Again, a few over-the-counter remedies and life basically returns to normal. You’re not feeling 100%, but that’s part of life, right?
Now, the problem is affecting your life a little too frequently. It’s becoming an annoying nuisance. You mention it to a friend and they conclude it’s just life catching up with you—nothing you can really do about it. So you shrug your shoulders and figure they’re probably right. In fact, you figure you’re feeling pretty good compared to some of your other friends the same age.
However, the affects of uncorrected spinal stress over a period of time rears its ugly head in the form of spinal decay, resulting in loss of proper spinal curve, reduced ability to—move, turn and bend. Then other areas of the spine begin to compensate which starts a chain reaction of health problems.
